3、he Honorable,Herbert C.Klein.Herb passed on November 24,2023 at the age of 93.Herb was one of the original Board Members of FREIT and served,nearly continuously,since its founding in 1961 and up to his retirement in 2016.His contributions to our Trust were notable.Herb was the longest serving Board

4、Member of FREIT.Born in Newark,NJ,Herb received his bachelors degree from Rutgers and a law degree from Harvard.He served in the U.S.Air Force,was a member of the NJ State Assembly and a member of the U.S.House of Representatives.Herb will be remembered for his insight,intellect and advice.Upon Herb

5、s official retirement from the Board and up until his passing in 2023,Herb and I would regularly meet for lunch.During those lunches Herb would express his views about FREIT,the decisions the Board was making,and the general economy.Most of the time we were in agreement particularly on the larger ma

6、tters but,on occasion,our positions would differ.I always was en-thusiastic about hearing the reasoning supporting Herbs thinking.In short,I appreciated his opinion and respected his intelligence,experience and knowledge.I will miss those“lunches with Herb”and,particularly,the insightful conversatio
