1、About the ReportAUO began publishing our Environmental Brochure in 2004,and the Environmental Safety and Health Report in 2005.The Corporate Social Responsibility Report has been published since 2006 and its content includes AUOs efforts and accomplishments on sustainability indicators such as econo
2、mic,social and environmental.The Global Reporting Initiatives Sustainability Reporting Guidelines(GRI G3)was introduced in 2007 to provide complete disclosure of AUOs social responsibility achievements.In 2014,we furthermore adopted GRI G4 Comprehensive In Accordance,demonstrating our commitment to
3、sustainable development.Boundary and ScopeThis report covers AUOs global achievements in corporate social responsibility from January to December in 2013.Most of the indicators reflect our manufacturing sites in Taiwan,China,Singapore and Europe.Indicators that involve other regions will be noted se
4、parately in the body of the report.All of the relevant data for 2013 in this report were verified by an independent third party,and presented using standard international indicators.Any estimates will be noted in the corresponding section.The financial data was verified by KMPG International Financi
5、al Report Group and was calculated in NTD(New Taiwan Dollar).The greenhouse gas emissions were verified by DNV Business Assurance(DNV)while the ISO 14001,OHSAS 18001 and ISO 50001 certifications were issued by SGS Taiwan Ltd.All other data were certified by SGS Taiwan Ltd.as well.Reporting Principle
6、s and GuidelinesImportant international economic,environmental and social issues were compiled by AUO and analyzed to determine the issues important to our stakeholders.In 2013 Q4,the relevant departments were invited to discuss and identify the most important issues based on AUOs business strategy.
