2、oramas of London.We feature the work of John Virtue in this years Reportand Accounts as we have beenclosely involved with his workover the years culminating in hiscurrent exhibition at the NationalGallery.I had admired and boughthis work before first meetinghim during his exhibition atTate St Ives i
3、n Cornwall in 1999.He became a good friend and I had the privilege of being a small part of his journey fromhis studio in Exeter to theincredible challenge of beingAssociate Artist at theNational Gallery.I cannot imagine a greater testthan being given studio spacein such an awe inspiring buildingand
4、 having to make new artfor public display amongstthe work of world mastersin Londons greatest Gallery.John responded with amazingbravery,energy,creativity,discipline and talent.The resultwas a triumph and we areproud to have been his sponsor.I hope that we can mirror hisresponse to his challenge in
