4、ased on accounting principles generally accepted in theUnited States of America(US GAAP)and one for Dutchstatutory purposes based on accounting principles generallyaccepted in the Netherlands(Dutch GAAP).The financialstatements included in this financial report are based on US GAAP.The principal dif

5、ference between ASMLs US and DutchGAAP financial statements is that,under US GAAP,the 2001merger between Silicon Valley Group(“SVG”)and ASML isaccounted for as pooling of interests while,under DutchGAAP,the merger is accounted for under the purchasemethod.This eventually results in differences in th
