3、Summary Coastal erosion and flooding hazards are significant threats to coastal communities,ecosystems,and infrastructure globally.To respond to these global threats,different coastal erosion management approaches and policies have been implemented worldwide.Nature-based Solutions(NBS)are increasing
4、ly becoming a standard option for the coastal challenges that the world is facing.Nature-based Solutions are actions to protect,sustainably manage,or restore natural ecosystems,that address societal challenges effectively and adaptively,simultaneously providing human well-being and biodiversity bene
5、fits This is also the case in West Africa,where local appetite to better incorporate NBS in the West African coastal region has proven strong through engagement with governments and regional institutions.There is not yet a clear overview of NBS in the West African coastal region.Therefore,this basel
